▶️ Configure discounts

1. Access the Discounts Setup

  • In Salesforce, open the StoreConnect app.

  • Go to:

    • StoreConnect NavigationOffersDiscounts.
  • Click New to create a new discount.

2. Basic Discount Configuration

  • Fill in the following fields:

Name: Internal name for the discount (not shown to customers).

Store: Select the store this discount applies to.

Active: Make sure this is checked to enable the discount.

    Start Date/Time:

    • Set a date in the past to make the discount active immediately.

    Expiry Date/Time (optional):

    • Leave blank if you want the discount to run indefinitely.

3. Set Discount Type and Behavior

  • Calculation Type: Choose how the discount is calculated:

    • Percentage: e.g., 20% off.

    • Amount: Fixed dollar amount off.

    • New Price: Overrides the original price with a new one.

  • Behavior When Applied:

    • Stacks With Other Discounts: Adds on top of other discounts.

    • Replaces Other Discounts: Cancels out other discounts.

    • Overrides All Pricing: Replaces all other pricing logic.

  • Fill in the relevant field based on your calculation type (e.g., 20% for a percentage discount).

4. (Optional) Rewards Points Discount

  • If the product can be purchased using Rewards Points, you can also define a points-based discount.

5. Define the Discount Scope (Very Powerful!)

Use the Discount Scope section to target specific conditions:

You can apply the discount to:

  • A specific Price Book

  • A Product Category

  • A Single Product

  • A specific Brand

  • A particular Customer Membership

  • A specific Customer Account

Leave fields blank to apply the discount to all items or customers.

Example: To apply a discount only to Steve Plushy with Blue Hoodie:

  • Fill in the Product field with that item.

  • Leave other scope fields blank.

6. Save and Confirm Discount Application

  • Click Save to apply your new discount.

  • If everything is set correctly, the discount will take effect immediately.

7. Verify the Discount on the Storefront

  • Visit your store’s website and navigate to the relevant product page.

Example:

  • Steve Plushy – Orange Hoodie remains at full price: $25

  • Steve Plushy – Blue Hoodie now shows discounted price: $20 (with discount label)

Note: If your product’s price book has a sale price set already:

  • StoreConnect will automatically choose the lower of:

    • The sale price, or

    • The discounted price.
