▶️ Configure shipping costs

1. Create a Shipping Zone

  • Open the StoreConnect App in Salesforce.

  • Go to StoreConnect Navigation > Configuration > Locations > Zones.

  • Click New to create a zone (e.g., “Australia”) and click Save.

  • Under Zone Identifiers, add:

    • Countries

    • States

    • Postcodes

    • Cities

  • For example, to add all of Australia:

    • Add a new Zone Country, name it, and set the country code to Australia.

Zones are fully customizable — they can represent anything from entire countries to specific regions or postcodes.

    • Optional: Custom instructions for customers

  • Define pricing conditions:

  • Click Save.

4. Enable Shipping Methods for Products

  • Go to your StoreConnect store website.

  • Add the product to the cart and proceed to checkout.

  • After entering delivery info:

    • The configured shipping options (e.g., Standard Post $10) appear in the Delivery section.
  • Complete the purchase and confirm the shipping cost was applied correctly.

6. Add Express Shipping (Optional)

  • Go to your existing Standard Post shipping rate.

  • Click Clone to duplicate it.

  • Rename the copy to Express Post.

  • Change the Shipping Method to Express and increase the price (e.g., $20).

  • Save it and add Express Post to the relevant products' shipping methods.

7. Configure Shipping by Weight

  • In a shipping rate, set Calculation Method to Weight.

  • Set Base Rate (e.g., $10) and Per-Kilogram Rate (e.g., $2/kg).

  • Set Minimum and Maximum Weight Range (e.g., 0 to 9.99kg).

  • Save the rate.

Important: You must assign a Shipping Weight to each product for this to work:

  • Edit the product.

  • Set Shipping Weight (e.g., 1kg) and unit (e.g., kilograms).

  • Save.

8. Add Tiered Shipping Rates for Heavy Orders

  • Clone your current weight-based shipping rate.

  • Set New Minimum Weight (e.g., 10kg) and remove the maximum.

  • Increase base and per-kg rates (e.g., $25 base + $4/kg).

  • Use the same Display Name (e.g., “Standard Post”) so the customer sees a unified option.

9. (Optional) Connect External Shipping Providers

  • StoreConnect also supports integration with external shipping providers, allowing real-time rates.

  • This can be configured separately and uses provider-specific settings.
