1. Create a Shipping Zone
Open the StoreConnect App in Salesforce.
Go to StoreConnect Navigation > Configuration > Locations > Zones.
Click New to create a zone (e.g., “Australia”) and click Save.
Under Zone Identifiers, add:
Countries
States
Postcodes
Cities
For example, to add all of Australia:
- Add a new Zone Country, name it, and set the country code to Australia.
Zones are fully customizable — they can represent anything from entire countries to specific regions or postcodes.
2. Enable Shipping for Your Store
Go to StoreConnect Navigation > Configuration > Stores.
Select your store and click Edit.
Scroll to the Shipping section and check Enable Shipping.
Click Save.
3. Create a Shipping Rate
Go to StoreConnect Navigation > Configuration > Fulfillment > Shipping Rates.
Click New and enter:
Name (e.g., “Standard Post”)
Store and Zone
Shipping Method (e.g., Regular Post)
Calculation Method:
- By Price, Weight, or Price and Weight
Currency Unit (e.g., dollars)
Optional: Custom instructions for customers
Define pricing conditions:
Minimum Order Price or Weight (e.g., $0 or 0kg)
Maximum if applicable
Flat Rate Cost (e.g., $10)
Click Save.
4. Enable Shipping Methods for Products
Go to StoreConnect Navigation > Products > Product List View.
Select a product (e.g., Steve Plushy) and click Edit.
Scroll to Shipping and add the appropriate Shipping Methods (e.g., Regular Post, Express Post).
Click Save.
5. Test Shipping at Checkout
Go to your StoreConnect store website.
Add the product to the cart and proceed to checkout.
After entering delivery info:
- The configured shipping options (e.g., Standard Post $10) appear in the Delivery section.
Complete the purchase and confirm the shipping cost was applied correctly.
6. Add Express Shipping (Optional)
Go to your existing Standard Post shipping rate.
Click Clone to duplicate it.
Rename the copy to Express Post.
Change the Shipping Method to Express and increase the price (e.g., $20).
Save it and add Express Post to the relevant products' shipping methods.
7. Configure Shipping by Weight
In a shipping rate, set Calculation Method to Weight.
Set Base Rate (e.g., $10) and Per-Kilogram Rate (e.g., $2/kg).
Set Minimum and Maximum Weight Range (e.g., 0 to 9.99kg).
Save the rate.
Important: You must assign a Shipping Weight to each product for this to work:
Edit the product.
Set Shipping Weight (e.g., 1kg) and unit (e.g., kilograms).
Save.
8. Add Tiered Shipping Rates for Heavy Orders
Clone your current weight-based shipping rate.
Set New Minimum Weight (e.g., 10kg) and remove the maximum.
Increase base and per-kg rates (e.g., $25 base + $4/kg).
Use the same Display Name (e.g., “Standard Post”) so the customer sees a unified option.
9. (Optional) Connect External Shipping Providers
StoreConnect also supports integration with external shipping providers, allowing real-time rates.
This can be configured separately and uses provider-specific settings.
