1. Navigate to the Articles Section
In Salesforce, open the StoreConnect app.
Go to:
- StoreConnect Navigation → Custom Content → Articles → All Articles.
2. Create a New Article
Click New to start a new article.
Fill in the following fields:
Name → internal name for the article (e.g. Doing the Basics Right).
Store → select the store this article belongs to.
Path → URL slug (e.g.
/doing-the-basics-right).Identifier → automatically created but can be changed later.
Author → assign an author if needed.
Require Login → check if article should only be viewable to logged-in users.
3. Add Content and Imagery
Hero Image:
- Select or upload a main image for the article.
Title & Subtitle:
Enter the Title (shown on the page).
Enter a Subtitle (optional).
Summary:
- Provide a brief description for previews or lists.
Main Content:
- Use the two Main Content Fields for writing your article (can include rich text, images, and HTML).
4. Set Publishing Options
Publishing Schedule:
Choose to Publish Immediately, or
Set a Future Date for automatic publication.
SEO Settings:
- Add Meta Title, Meta Description, Keywords, and Social Image if needed.
Click Save to publish or schedule the article.
5. View the Published Article
Click the link to Preview the article.
You’ll see the article rendered on your store's site using the StoreConnect theme.
6. Organize Articles with Categories
On the Article Record, go to the Related tab → Content Category Articles → click New.
From there:
Create a new Article Category.
Configure:
Name (e.g. Tips & Advice).
Store.
Path (URL slug for the category page).
Optional: assign a Category Type, Social Media Image, and List Position.
You can also create Category Hierarchies for larger organization.
Click Save.
Your article will now be part of the selected category and visible under that section on your site.
7. (Optional) Link Articles in the Website Menu
To make your Articles Page accessible from the site menu:
Go to StoreConnect Navigation → Configuration → Menus.
Edit your Header Menu → Add a New Menu Item.
Set the menu item to link to your Article Category Page or a specific article.
Save and refresh your site.
