1. Create a Membership in Salesforce
Open the StoreConnect App in Salesforce.
Go to StoreConnect Navigation > Customers > Memberships.
Click New, enter a membership name (e.g., “Gold Membership”), and Save.
2. Assign a Product to Activate the Membership
To activate a membership, you must associate it with a product or category:
In the membership record, assign a Product or Category under the activation fields.
Create a new virtual product for this membership:
Name the product (e.g., “Gold Membership”).
Mark it as Active and a Virtual Product.
Set the Available On Date to a past date for immediate use.
Add a description, and Save.
3. Configure the Membership Product
Now complete the setup for the membership product:
Set Pricing:
Add a List Price (e.g., $25).
Sync price changes.
Assign Category:
- Scroll to Categories Containing this Product, select a category, and click Save.
Add Product Image:
- Under Media Used by this Product, click New, select an existing media item, and Save.
4. Test the Membership Purchase
Go to the live store as a customer.
Purchase the membership product.
After the transaction, check the customer’s account in Salesforce under Customers > Accounts.
The membership should now be applied to the customer's account.
5. Assign Member Pricing via Price Book
To give members special pricing:
Create a Price Book with discounted prices (e.g., $5 off standard products).
Go back to the Membership Record and assign this Price Book.
Save the membership.
On the website, signed-in members will now see discounted prices, while non-members see full prices.
6. Restrict Content to Members
You can limit access to specific website content:
In the Membership Record, go to the Related tab.
Under Articles, click New to select content only visible to members.
Save your changes.
Now only signed-in members will see those articles/pages.
7. Add Member-Only Discounts (Optional)
You can set up extra promotions exclusive to members:
In the Membership Record > Related tab, go to Discounts and click New.
Fill in the following:
Name and mark it as Active.
Assign it to your Store.
Set a Discount Amount (e.g., 10%).
Choose to Stack Discounts if needed.
Set Start and End Dates for limited-time offers.
Under Discount Scope, select the Membership.
Discounts can be combined with member pricing for extra value.
