It's organized into three main areas: \n\n- **Store** for core operations such as orders, inventory, customers, bookings, and offers\n- **Web** for storefront content, themes, and privacy settings\n- **Point of Sale** for outlet and register configuration.\n\nUsers only see the channels and features relevant to their role, while administrators have full access across all three channels, along with system tools such as sync monitoring, setup guides, and configuration for payments, tax, and shipping.\n\nFor general StoreConnect navigation tips, see the [StoreConnect navigation](how-to-use-storeconnect-navigation) topic.\n\n## Accessing the console\n\nThe following users can access the console.\n\n- StoreConnect Administrator — Full access to all channels and settings\n- StoreConnect Content Manager — Manage web content, including articles, pages, and menus\n- StoreConnect Order Manager — Manage orders, payments, and fulfillment\n- StoreConnect Theme Manager — Manage storefront themes and appearance\n\nEach role only sees the navigation sections relevant to their permissions. Only administrators have access to the Point of Sale channel, setup guide, and system configuration (including payment, shipping, and tax settings).\n\n:::note\n**Note for Salesforce Admins:** Assign these permission sets rather than the underlying custom permissions on their own. Each one grants the **SC_Console** custom permission — which unlocks the console — together with the object and field access the console needs to work. Assigning the bare custom permission may let a user past the access check but leave them unable to read or edit records. The **StoreConnect Administrator** permission set additionally grants the **SC_Administrator** custom permission, which is required for the header Setup and License menus. Users without console access see a permission error instead of console content.\n:::\n\n1.  **Log in to Salesforce** with your admin credentials.\n2.  In the App Launcher (grid icon), search for **StoreConnect Console**.\n3.  Click **StoreConnect Console** to open the dashboard.\n\n    ![StoreConnect console](https://res.cloudinary.com/hzkr6fi81/image/upload/v1775797617/knowledge/console/SCConsoleEmpty_zdk2gi.png)\n\n## Key features of the console\n\nThe left navigation gives you access to:\n\n**Home**: Store health and subscription metrics at a glance.\n**Orders**: Review, fulfill, and process customer orders and payments.\n**Inventory**: Add, edit, or deactivate products, stock, and pricing.\n**Customers**: View and maintain accounts, contacts, and memberships.\n**Design**: Manage storefront content and themes.\n**Settings**: Configure payment, taxes, and shipping.\n\n## Setup guide\n\nWhen you set up a new store, the console displays a step-by-step setup guide. Each step guides you through a specific setup task — some open a dialog, while others take you to the relevant settings screen or your storefront.\n\n:::tip\nYou can skip any step (except creating your first store) and return to it later. The setup guide remains accessible from the console navigation, even after you have completed every step.\n:::\n\n## Console header actions\n\nThe console header includes an actions bar on the right side with quick access to support, documentation, and administrative tools. The **Setup** and **License** tools are available only to administrators (the **StoreConnect Administrator** permission set). **Support** and **Docs** are available to all console users.\n\n### Support and docs\n\n- **Support** — Opens the StoreConnect support portal.\n- **Docs** — Opens the StoreConnect documentation site.\n\n### Setup\n\nThe **Setup** button opens a popover with two groups of administrative actions.\n\n**Tools**\n\n-   **Sandbox provisioning** — Provision a new StoreConnect sandbox environment. Only visible on Salesforce sandbox orgs. See [Get a StoreConnect sandbox from a Salesforce sandbox](get-a-storeconnect-sandbox).\n-   **Picklist management** — Manage StoreConnect picklist values.\n-   **Schema Explorer** — Open the [Schema Explorer](schema-explorer) to visualize and explore the StoreConnect data model as an interactive diagram.\n\n**Sync**\n\n-   **Change sync user** — Change the user account used by StoreConnect to synchronize data between your website and Salesforce.\n-   **Manage errors** — Open the [Sync Error Tool](sync-error-tool) to review and resolve synchronization errors.\n-   **View summary** — Open [Sync Summaries](sync-summaries) to compare record counts between Salesforce and your website.\n\n### License\n\nThe **License** button opens a popover showing your current subscription plan details, including plan name and expiry date, along with license management actions.\n\n**If your subscription is not yet verified:**\n\n- **Subscribe now** — Subscribe to a StoreConnect plan with a credit card.\n- **Verify subscription** — Enter an installation key to verify your subscription.\n\n**If your subscription is verified:**\n\nDisplays your current plan name, active status, and expiry date.\n\n- **View subscription** — Open your subscription details on storeconnect.com.\n- **Update key** — Update your installation key.\n\n### Store menu\n\nThe store name on the left side of the header includes a menu with:\n\n- **Open storefront** — Open your store's website in a new tab.\n- **View store record** — Open the store record in Salesforce.\n- **View all stores** — Switch between stores (visible when multiple stores exist).\n- **Create store** — Create a new store (admin only)."}
