So when setting up a subscription product, the payment rules and details need to be exact. \n\nSee the main [subscriptions overview topic](subscription-products) for detailed information on subscription product settings and configuration options.\n\n## Add a subscription product\n\n1.  Open the **Products** list and select **New**.\n2.  Enter a **Product Name** and a **Display Name**.\n3.  If you want, mark as **Active**.\n4.  Select the **Virtual** option.\n5.  Scroll to the **Subscription** section.\n6.  Set the details of the subscription product.
