# Add a subscription product Source: https://support.storeconnect.com/articles/add-a-subscription-product · Last modified 21 August 2026 What makes a subscription product different to other products is that it involves a recurring payment. So when setting up a subscription product, the payment rules and details need to be exact. See the main [subscriptions overview topic](subscription-products) for detailed information on subscription product settings and configuration options. ## Add a subscription product 1. Open the **Products** list and select **New**. 2. Enter a **Product Name** and a **Display Name**. 3. If you want, mark as **Active**. 4. Select the **Virtual** option. 5. Scroll to the **Subscription** section. 6. Set the details of the subscription product.
