The tasks are in dependency order, so complete each group before moving to the next. Tick each item off as you go.\n\n## Before you begin\n\n- You need to be a Salesforce administrator for most of these tasks.\n- How many apply depends on where you are starting. If you are still evaluating StoreConnect, start with [prepare to get started](prerequisites-to-getting-started) instead.\n\n:::tip\nSubscribe to service status updates at [status.storeconnect.com](https://status.storeconnect.com) so you hear about incidents and scheduled maintenance. Set this up early, before you go live.\n:::\n\n## Step 1: Before you install\n\nCheck compatibility and complete all prerequisites. Two of these are hard install blockers, so do them first.\n\n- [ ] **[Check your Salesforce org compatibility](storeconnect-compatibility-guide)** — verify your org meets the edition, object, and API requirements\n- [ ] **[Review prerequisites to getting started](prerequisites-to-getting-started)** — understand what is required before installation\n- [ ] **[Check Lightning Web Security is enabled](enable-lightning-web-security)** — required before installation, and only applies to older Salesforce orgs\n- [ ] **[Manage which records sync by default](per-record-sync-opt-in)** — recommended for orgs with large record volumes. Do this before running Setup, or the full initial sync has already run\n\n## Step 2: Install and set up StoreConnect\n\n- [ ] **[Install and set up StoreConnect](quick-start)** — install the managed package and follow the basic setup steps\n- [ ] **[Create a StoreConnect sync user](how-to-create-a-storeconnect-sync-user)** — set up the dedicated user StoreConnect syncs through\n- [ ] **[Invite your team](user-management)** — add team members and assign permission sets\n- [ ] **[Learn about store themes](how-themes-work-in-storeconnect)** — accept the default theme and explore theme customization\n- [ ] **[Assign page layouts](assigning-page-layouts)** — configure page layouts for StoreConnect objects\n\n## Step 3: Configure Salesforce\n\n- [ ] **[Salesforce basics for StoreConnect](salesforce-basics)** — essential Salesforce concepts\n- [ ] **[Page layouts, profiles and permission sets](page-layouts-and-profiles)** — configure layouts and profiles for your store\n- [ ] **[List your site as a trusted URL in Salesforce](how-to-list-your-site-as-a-trusted-url-in-salesforce)** — allowlist your domain so the Take Payment button works\n- [ ] **[Configure authentication providers](authentication-providers)** — set up the login methods your customers use\n- [ ] **[Use Experience Cloud login as single sign-on](experience-cloud-login)** — optional, if your customers already have Experience Cloud logins\n\n## Step 4: Configure your store\n\n- [ ] **[Understand the default store](default-store)** — learn what the default store is and how it behaves\n- [ ] **[Set up your test store](test-store)** — create an environment for testing\n- [ ] **[Create multiple stores](creating-multiple-stores)** — optional, if you run more than one store\n- [ ] **[Create multiple storefronts with StoreConnect](create-multiple-storefronts-with-storeconnect)** — optional, a worked example of the above\n\n## Step 5: Set up your domain\n\n- [ ] **[Connect a domain to StoreConnect](how-to-register-a-domain-to-use-with-storeconnect)** — create the **Web Domain** record and point your DNS at it\n- [ ] **[Redirect to StoreConnect from existing web pages](redirect-to-storeconnect-from-existing-website)** — only if you are replacing an existing site\n\n## Step 6: Test and launch\n\nDo these in order.
