# ▶️ Add a favicon to your website

Where the [https://path/favicon.png](https://path/favicon.png) is the URL from your favicon's media record.

### **1\. Upload the Favicon Image**

1.  Go to the **StoreConnect app** (backend).

2.  Navigate to:
    **Media List View**.

3.  Click **New** to upload a new media file:

    -   Give it a **Name**.

    -   Select **File Type**: *Image*.

    -   Upload your favicon image file (recommended format: `.ico`, `.png`, `.svg`).

4.  Click **Save**.

5.  After saving, copy the **URL** provided (from the StoreConnect Content Delivery Network).

### **2\. Create a Content Block for the Favicon**

1.  Go to:
    **StoreConnect Navigation → Custom Content → Content Blocks**.

2.  Click **New** to create a content block:

    -   Select **Content Template**: *No added styling*.

    -   Give it a **Name** (e.g. *Header Content Block*).

3.  In the **Content** section, add the following HTML code:

    Replace `"https://path/favicon.png"` with the URL you copied earlier.

4.  Click **Save**.

### **3\. Apply the Content Block to the Website Header**

1.  Go to your **Store Record**.

2.  Under the **Content** section, open **Global Content**.

3.  Under the **Head Content** field:

    -   Edit and select your newly created **Header Content Block**.

4.  Click **Save**.

### **4\. Verify the Favicon**

1.  Visit your **live website**.

2.  Refresh the page.

3.  You should now see the **favicon** appearing in the browser tab.

### **(Optional) Removing or Updating the Favicon**

-   To change or remove the favicon:

    -   Update or replace the image in **Media**.

    -   Edit the **Content Block** and update the **URL** as needed.

    -   Save and refresh your website.
