When You Might Need to Add Fields**\n\n-   You may want to add **new fields** when:\n\n    -   Upgrading to a **newer version** of StoreConnect (new fields may become available).\n\n    -   Adding fields used by your **Salesforce org** (not included by default in StoreConnect layouts).\n\n    -   Customizing layouts for your specific business processes.\n\n\n---\n\n### **2\\. Access the Object Manager**\n\n-   Open **Salesforce** → **StoreConnect app**.\n\n-   Go to the record you want to edit (e.g. **Store Record**).\n\n-   Click the **Cog wheel** → **Edit Object**.\n\n-   This opens the **Object Manager**.\n\n-   In Object Manager, you will see two layout options:\n\n    -   **Page Layouts** → Classic layouts (limited functionality).\n\n    -   **Lightning Record Pages** → Modern layouts (preferred).\n\n\n---\n\n### **3\\. Edit or Clone Lightning Record Page**\n\n-   Go to **Lightning Record Pages**.\n\n-   Select the current **StoreConnect Store Page Layout**.\n\n-   If the page is **managed** (cannot edit directly):\n\n    -   Click **Clone** to create an editable copy.\n\n-   The **Lightning App Builder** will open, showing a preview of the page.\n\n\n---\n\n### **4\\. Add New Fields or Sections**\n\n-   The Lightning App Builder allows full customization:\n\n    -   You can see the page's **tabs and sections** (e.g. Store Info, Email, Products).\n\n-   To add a new section:\n\n    -   In the **left-hand column**, select **Field Section**.\n\n    -   Drag and drop it to the desired location on the page.\n\n    -   Choose **one column** or **two columns**.\n\n    -   Name your section (e.g. “Vouchers”).\n\n-   To add fields:\n\n    -   Click the **Fields** tab at the top of the left-hand column.\n\n    -   Scroll to find available fields for this record.\n\n    -   Drag and drop fields into your new section (e.g. **Expiry Length**, **Voucher Expiry Unit**, **Activate Points at Order Status**).\n\n\n---\n\n### **5\\. Remove Deprecated Fields (Optional)**\n\n-   Some fields may be marked **Deprecated** (obsolete and no longer used).\n\n-   To remove these:\n\n    -   Select the field on the page.\n\n    -   Click the **Rubbish Bin** (Trash icon) to delete it from the layout.\n\n\n---\n\n### **6\\. Save and Activate Your Page Layout**\n\n-   Once your changes are complete:\n\n    -   Click **Save**.\n\n-   You must then **Activate** the new layout:\n\n    -   Click **Activate**.\n\n    -   Choose how to assign this layout:\n\n        -   **Org Default** → for all users.\n\n        -   **App Default** → for specific apps (recommended for StoreConnect).\n\n        -   **Custom Profile Assignments** → for specific user profiles.\n\n    -   Example: assign as **App Default** and select the **StoreConnect apps**.\n\n-   Click **Next**, review your assignments, and **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **7\\. Verify Your Changes**\n\n-   Return to your **Store record page**.\n\n-   Refresh the page.\n\n-   Navigate to the section where you added fields (e.g. **Products Tab** → **Vouchers Section**).\n\n-   Your **new fields and section** should now appear and be ready for use."}
