{"title":"▶️ Add search keywords","slug":"how-to-add-search-keywords","url":"https://support.storeconnect.com/articles/how-to-add-search-keywords","url_markdown":"https://support.storeconnect.com/articles/how-to-add-search-keywords.md","subtitle":null,"summary":"Improve search discoverability by adding alternate keywords to products, articles, and pages so customers can find items using terms beyond the product name.","type":"Videos_Tutorials","video_url":"https://vimeo.com/1197567879?fl=sv\u0026fe=ci","keywords":null,"last_modified":"2026-08-21T07:12:35+0000","body_markdown":"**Step 1: Go to Products**\n\n-   Log in to the backend of StoreConnect.\n\n-   Navigate to your **Products list view**.\n\n\n---\n\n**Step 2: Locate the Product**\n\n-   Find the product you want to add keywords for.\n\n\n---\n\n**Step 3: Find the “Search Keywords” Field**\n\n-   Look for the field called **Search Keywords**.\n\n-   If you don’t see it, add the field to your page layout.\n\n\n---\n\n**Step 4: Add Keywords**\n\n-   Edit the product record.\n\n-   In the **Search Keywords** field, enter any alternate words customers might use.\n\n-   Put each keyword on a **new line**.\n\n-   Keywords are **not case-sensitive**.\n\n\n---\n\n**Step 5: Save \u0026 Update**\n\n-   Save the record.\n\n-   Wait a little while for the changes to sync with your website.\n\n\n---\n\n**Step 6: Test the Search**\n\n-   Go to your store’s search bar.\n\n-   Try searching with the new keyword(s) to confirm the product shows up.\n\n\n---\n\n**Step 7: Apply to Other Items**\n\n-   Remember, you can add keywords to **Products, Articles, and Pages** in the same way."}
