Prepare Your Tracking Scripts**\n\n-   Before setting up your banner, ensure that you have any required **tracking scripts** ready:\n\n    -   Example: **Google Analytics**, **Facebook Pixel**, etc.\n\n-   In StoreConnect:\n\n    -   Go to **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Custom Content** → **Script Blocks**.\n\n    -   Here, you can create **Script Blocks** to hold your tracking scripts.\n\n    -   (Detailed instructions for creating Script Blocks are covered in [another video](how-to-use-script-blocks)).\n\n\n---\n\n### **2\\. Create Compliance Groups**\n\n-   Go to:\n\n    -   **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Configuration** → **Advanced** → **Compliance Groups**.\n\n-   Click **New** to create your first **Compliance Group**.\n\n-   Example groups:\n\n    -   **Strictly Necessary**:\n\n        -   Description: What this group is for.\n\n        -   **Active**: Checked.\n\n        -   **Required**: Checked (users cannot opt out of these cookies).\n\n        -   Assign to your **Store**.\n\n        -   **Position**: 1.\n\n    -   **Analytics**:\n\n        -   Description: What this group is for (e.g. site tracking).\n\n        -   **Active**: Checked.\n\n        -   **Required**: Unchecked (users can opt in or out).\n\n        -   Assign to your **Store**.\n\n-   Click **Save and New** to quickly add multiple groups.\n\n-   Result: You should now have at least two groups (Strictly Necessary, Analytics).\n\n\n---\n\n### **3\\. Add Cookies to Compliance Groups**\n\n-   Go to:\n\n    -   **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Configuration** → **Advanced** → **Cookies**.\n\n-   Click **New** to create each **Cookie**.\n\n-   For each Cookie:\n\n    -   Enter a **Name**.\n\n    -   Provide a **Description**.\n\n    -   **Active**: Checked.\n\n    -   Select the appropriate **Compliance Group** (created in Step 2).\n\n    -   Select the associated **Script Block**.\n\n-   Example cookies:\n\n    -   **Required Cookie** → assigned to **Strictly Necessary**.\n\n    -   **Analytics Cookie** → assigned to **Analytics**.\n\n    -   **Referrals Cookie** → assigned to **Analytics**.\n\n-   After adding each cookie, click **Save and New** to continue adding more.\n\n\n---\n\n### **4\\. Enable the Privacy Compliance Banner**\n\n-   Go to:\n\n    -   **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Stores** → **All Stores**.\n\n-   Open your **Store Record**.\n\n-   Go to **Content** → **Privacy** → click **Edit**.\n\n-   Configure the Privacy Banner:\n\n    -   **Enable Privacy Compliance** → Checked.\n\n    -   Add **Primary Banner Text** (text displayed on the banner itself).\n\n    -   Add **Secondary Settings Page Text** (text shown when user clicks \"Manage Cookies\").\n\n-   Click **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **5\\. Verify and Test the Banner**\n\n-   Visit your **Store’s website**.\n\n-   Refresh the page:\n\n    -   You should see the **Privacy Compliance Banner** appear.\n\n    -   Options available:\n\n        -   **Accept All**.\n\n        -   **Reject All**.\n\n        -   **Manage Cookies**.\n\n-   Click **Manage Cookies**:\n\n    -   You will see the **Compliance Groups** listed (Strictly Necessary, Analytics).\n\n    -   Inside each group:\n\n        -   View the **Group Name** and **Description**.\n\n        -   View the **Cookies** assigned to that group:\n\n            -   **Required Cookies** → pre-enabled and cannot be disabled.\n\n            -   **Optional Cookies** → can be toggled **On/Off** by the user.\n\n-   After saving settings, the banner will disappear and the choices will be respected."}
