Create a Gift Card Product**\n\n-   In **Salesforce**, open the **StoreConnect app**.\n\n-   Go to:\n\n    -   **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Products** → **Products List** → click **New**.\n\n-   Configure the product:\n\n    -   **Name** → enter a name for your Gift Card.\n\n    -   **Active** → ensure this is checked.\n\n    -   **Virtual** → ensure this is checked (gift cards are virtual products).\n\n-   Under **Stock Information**:\n\n    -   Set **Available On Date** → choose a date in the **past** (to make it available immediately).\n\n-   Add a **Summary** (product description).\n\n-   Scroll to the bottom:\n\n    -   Under **Vouchers**, check **Is Voucher**.\n\n    -   Select where this voucher can be used:\n\n        -   Current **Store**, **Store Group**, or **Any Store**.\n\n    -   Select a **Voucher Template** (optional — defaults are usually sufficient).\n\n-   Click **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **2\\. Set Pricing Options**\n\n-   After saving the product:\n\n    -   Go to **Price Books** → add a **Standard Price**.\n\n-   Configure pricing:\n\n    -   Set a **Minimum Sell Price**.\n\n    -   Enable **Variable Pricing**:\n\n        -   Allows customers to choose the **value of the gift card**.\n\n        -   Add **preset amounts** (optional).\n\n        -   Include \"Other Amount\" to allow custom amounts.\n\n-   Click **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **3\\. Add to Product Category and Upload Photo**\n\n-   Add the product to an appropriate **Product Category** → click **Save**.\n\n-   Attach a **Product Image** (pre-uploaded in Media).\n\n-   **Sync** **Price Changes** and **Refresh**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **4\\. Set Voucher Expiry**\n\n-   Go to:\n\n    -   **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Configuration** → **Stores** → **Stores List View**.\n\n-   Open your **Store Record**.\n\n-   Configure Voucher Expiry:\n\n    -   Set **Voucher Expiry Length** → e.g. `36`.\n\n    -   Set **Voucher Expiry Unit** → e.g. `Months` (36 months = 3 years).\n\n-   Click **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **5\\. Test Purchase of Gift Card**\n\n-   Simulate customer journey:\n\n    -   Customer visits the **Store** → **Products**.\n\n    -   Selects the **Gift Card**.\n\n    -   Chooses a **value**.\n\n    -   Proceeds through **Checkout**.\n\n    -   Makes **payment**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **6\\. Activate Order to Trigger Voucher Delivery**\n\n-   Go to:\n\n    -   **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Orders** → **All Orders**.\n\n-   Open the relevant **Order**.\n\n-   Important:\n\n    -   **Vouchers are not sent** until the order reaches the defined **Order Status** (usually **Activated**).\n\n-   Change **Order Status** to **Activated** → mark as **Current Status**.\n\n    -   Voucher will now be sent to the customer.\n\n\n---\n\n### **7\\. Configure Order Status for Voucher Delivery**\n\n-   In the **Store Record**, find **Deliver Vouchers at Order Status** field.\n\n-   You can:\n\n    -   Keep the default (`Activated`), or\n\n    -   Enter the API Name of a **custom Order Status** where you want vouchers to be sent.\n\n-   Ensure the order is **paid** before sending the voucher.\n\n\n---\n\n### **8\\. How the Customer Uses the Voucher**\n\n-   The customer will receive an **email** with:\n\n    -   **Voucher Code**.\n\n    -   **Expiry Date**.\n\n    -   **Voucher Value**.\n\n-   Voucher Balance Check:\n\n    -   Customers can check the balance via the **check-voucher page**:\n\n        -   Example URL: `https://yourdomain.com/check-voucher`.\n\n        -   Enter **Voucher Code** → click **Check** to see the current balance.\n\n\n---\n\n### **9\\. Using the Voucher at Checkout**\n\n-   Simulate checkout with another product:\n\n    -   Add a product to cart.\n\n    -   Proceed to checkout.\n\n    -   Enter **Voucher Code** → click **Apply**.\n\n    -   Voucher amount is applied → remaining balance can be paid by **Credit Card**.\n\n-   Finalize payment.\n\n\n---\n\n### **10\\. Verify Payments and Voucher Usage**\n\n-   Go to:\n\n    -   **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Orders** → open the order.\n\n-   Under **Payment Section**, you will see:\n\n    -   **First payment** → amount applied using **Voucher**.\n\n    -   **Second payment** → any remaining balance paid by **Credit Card**.\n\n-   Check the **Voucher Balance** again — it will reflect the amount used."}
