Create the Basic Promotion**\n\n-   In Salesforce, open the **StoreConnect app**.\n\n-   Go to **StoreConnect Navigation** → **Offers** → **Promotions**.\n\n-   Click **New**.\n\n\n**Now fill in:**\n\n-   **Name**: The **public-facing name** of the promotion.\n\n-   **Store**: Select which store this applies to.\n\n-   **Start and End Date**: Set the **start date** (choose a past date for immediate activation).\n\n-   **Promo Code**: Enter the promotional code that customers will use.\n\n-   **Usage Limit**: (Optional) Set how many times this code can be used.\n\n-   **Campaign**: (Optional) Link to a Salesforce Campaign.\n\n-   **Description**: Internal notes only.\n\n\nClick **Save**.\n\n---\n\n### **2\\. Add a Promotion Action**\n\n-   In the saved promotion record, click on the **Related tab**.\n\n-   Under **Promotion Actions**, click **New**.\n\n\n**Then:**\n\n-   Select the current **promotion**.\n\n-   Choose the **action type**:\n\n    -   *Apply to item*, *entire order*, *extra items*, *free shipping*, etc.\n\n-   If needed, enter a **minimum quantity**.\n\n-   Choose a **calculation type** (e.g., exact amount or percentage).\n\n-   Enter the discount value (e.g., `$5`).\n\n-   (Optional) Add **rewards points** discount.\n\n-   Click **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **3\\. Add a Promotion Scope**\n\n-   Back in the **Related tab**, go to **Promotion Scopes** and click **New**.\n\n\n**Then select:**\n\n-   The same **promotion** again.\n\n-   Define the **scope**:\n\n    -   This could be by **product**, **category**, **brand**, **price book**, **membership**, **account**, or **contact**.\n\n-   For example: Choose the **product** *Steve Plushy with Orange Hoodie to apply it exclusively to that*.\n\n-   Click **Save**.\n\n\nYour promotion is now **fully configured**.\n\n---\n\n### 4\\. **Testing the Promotion on Your Website**\n\n1.  Go to your storefront and **add the product** (matching your promotion scope) to the cart.\n\n2.  At **checkout**, enter the **promo code** you defined.\n\n3.  Click **Apply**.\n\n\nYou’ll now see the **discount** (e.g., $5 off) applied instantly."}
