Create a Membership in Salesforce**\n\n-   Open the **StoreConnect App** in Salesforce.\n\n-   Go to **StoreConnect Navigation \u003e Customers \u003e Memberships**.\n\n-   Click **New**, enter a **membership name** (e.g., “Gold Membership”), and **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **2\\. Assign a Product to Activate the Membership**\n\nTo activate a membership, you must associate it with a product or category:\n\n-   In the membership record, assign a **Product** or **Category** under the **activation fields**.\n\n-   Create a **new virtual product** for this membership:\n\n    -   Name the product (e.g., “Gold Membership”).\n\n    -   Mark it as **Active** and a **Virtual Product**.\n\n    -   Set the **Available On Date** to a past date for immediate use.\n\n    -   Add a **description**, and **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **3\\. Configure the Membership Product**\n\nNow complete the setup for the membership product:\n\n-   **Set Pricing**:\n\n    -   Add a **List Price** (e.g., $25).\n\n    -   Sync price changes.\n\n-   **Assign Category**:\n\n    -   Scroll to **Categories Containing this Product**, select a category, and click **Save**.\n\n-   **Add Product Image**:\n\n    -   Under **Media Used by this Product**, click **New**, select an existing media item, and **Save**.\n\n\n---\n\n### **4\\. Test the Membership Purchase**\n\n-   Go to the live store as a **customer**.\n\n-   Purchase the **membership product**.\n\n-   After the transaction, check the customer’s account in Salesforce under **Customers \u003e Accounts**.\n\n-   The **membership should now be applied** to the customer's account.\n\n\n---\n\n### **5\\. Assign Member Pricing via Price Book**\n\nTo give members special pricing:\n\n-   Create a **Price Book** with discounted prices (e.g., $5 off standard products).\n\n-   Go back to the **Membership Record** and assign this **Price Book**.\n\n-   **Save** the membership.\n\n\nOn the website, signed-in members will now see **discounted prices**, while non-members see full prices.\n\n---\n\n### **6\\. Restrict Content to Members**\n\nYou can limit access to specific website content:\n\n-   In the **Membership Record**, go to the **Related tab**.\n\n-   Under **Articles**, click **New** to select content only visible to members.\n\n-   **Save** your changes.\n\n\nNow only signed-in members will see those articles/pages.\n\n---\n\n### **7\\. Add Member-Only Discounts (Optional)**\n\nYou can set up extra promotions exclusive to members:\n\n-   In the **Membership Record \u003e Related tab**, go to **Discounts** and click **New**.\n\n-   Fill in the following:\n\n    -   **Name** and mark it as **Active**.\n\n    -   Assign it to your **Store**.\n\n    -   Set a **Discount Amount** (e.g., 10%).\n\n    -   Choose to **Stack Discounts** if needed.\n\n    -   Set **Start and End Dates** for limited-time offers.\n\n    -   Under **Discount Scope**, select the **Membership**.\n\n\nDiscounts can be combined with member pricing for extra value."}
