Multiple providers can be active at the same time, so different providers can serve different stores, regions, or channels.\n\nAll payments are recorded as Salesforce records, linked to the customer, order, and store that generated them.\n\n## Payment provider feature matrix\n\nThe table below shows which features each payment provider supports. ✅ means fully supported, ❌ means not available, and 🟡 means partially supported, with the details in the numbered footnotes below the table. Each feature is explained in its own section further down this page.\n\n| Payment provider | Preauthorization | Recurring billing | Digital wallets | Express checkout | Salesforce Payments | Automated refunds | In-store POS |\n|---|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|\n| [Stripe](stripe-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Adyen](adyen-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Square](square-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |\n| [Braintree](braintree-payment-provider) | ✅ | ❌ | 🟡¹ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Cybersource](cybersource-payment-provider) | ✅ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Westpac Online Pay](westpac-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| [eWAY](eway-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| eWAY v2 | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| [Authorize.Net](authorize-net-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [NMI](nmi-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [StoreConnect Pay](storeconnect-pay-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Tyro](tyro-payment-provider) | ✅ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |\n| [Bambora](bambora-payment-provider) | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| [SecurePay](securepay-payment-provider) | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [PayWay](payway-payment-provider) | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [PayPal](paypal-payment-provider) | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Windcave](windcave-payment-provider) | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| ACI | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| [TouchNet](touchnet-payment-provider) | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| [Afterpay](afterpay-payment-provider) | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | 🟡² | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Zip Pay](zip-pay-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Latitude](latitude-payment-provider) | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | 🟡³ |\n| [Flywire](flywire-payment-provider) | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| [Stripe ACH](stripe-ach-payment-provider) | ❌ | 🟡⁴ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Adyen ACH](adyen-ach-payment-provider) | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |\n| [Authorize.Net ACH](authorize-net-ach-payment-provider) | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| NMI ACH | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| StoreConnect Pay ACH | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| Pay later | ❌ | 🟡⁵ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |\n| [Pay by account](pay-by-account) | ❌ | 🟡⁵ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |\n\n1. Braintree supports Google Pay only. Apple Pay is not available with Braintree.\n2. Afterpay's express checkout uses Afterpay's own payment window rather than Apple Pay or Google Pay.\n3. Latitude in-store payments are made through an SMS payment link sent to the customer at the register rather than an integrated card terminal.\n4. Stripe ACH lets customers save bank account details for reuse at checkout, but automated subscription billing is not available.\n5. Subscription orders can renew with these methods, but no charge is processed automatically. Payment is collected manually (pay later) or added to the account balance (pay by account).\n\n[Linkly](linkly-payment-provider), [Quest Airpay TAP](quest-airpay-tap-payment-provider), and Vii gift cards are in-store only integrations and are covered in [POS-ready payment providers](pos-payment-providers).\n\n## Integrated payment providers\n\n### Card and multi-method providers\n\n- **[Stripe](stripe-payment-provider)** — global card provider with embedded card fields, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and express checkout from cart and product pages.\n- **[Adyen](adyen-payment-provider)** — global card provider with embedded card components, digital wallets, and express checkout.\n- **[Square](square-payment-provider)** — card payments with digital wallets, plus Square Terminal for in-store POS payments.\n- **[Braintree](braintree-payment-provider)** — card gateway with embedded hosted fields and Google Pay.\n- **[Cybersource](cybersource-payment-provider)** — enterprise card gateway with embedded card fields, digital wallets, and express checkout.\n- **[Westpac Online Pay](westpac-payment-provider)** — Australian bank-owned provider with embedded card entry, digital wallets, and express checkout.\n- **[eWAY](eway-payment-provider)** — Australian provider with embedded card fields, digital wallets, and optional 3D Secure.\n- **eWAY v2** — variant of the eWAY integration that uses eWAY's hosted payment window for card entry.\n- **[Authorize.Net](authorize-net-payment-provider)** — US-focused provider with embedded card entry.\n- **[NMI](nmi-payment-provider)** — US provider with embedded card fields and optional 3D Secure.\n- **[StoreConnect Pay](storeconnect-pay-payment-provider)** — StoreConnect's own payment offering, powered by NMI, with the same feature set as NMI.\n- **[Tyro](tyro-payment-provider)** — Australian provider with an embedded payment widget, digital wallets, and in-store terminal support.\n- **[Bambora](bambora-payment-provider)** — provider for Canadian and EMEA merchants with embedded card entry.\n- **[SecurePay](securepay-payment-provider)** — Australian gateway with card entry in an embedded frame.\n- **[PayWay](payway-payment-provider)** — Westpac's card product with card entry in an embedded frame.\n- **[PayPal](paypal-payment-provider)** — PayPal button checkout where the customer approves the payment in a PayPal window.\n- **[Windcave](windcave-payment-provider)** — New Zealand and Australian provider using a hosted payment page.\n- **ACI** — hosted payment page integration. Requires product ID and payment type configuration.\n\n### Buy now, pay later\n\n- **[Afterpay](afterpay-payment-provider)** — pay-in-four installments with Afterpay's own express checkout from cart and product pages. Amount limits are enforced by Afterpay at checkout.\n- **[Zip Pay](zip-pay-payment-provider)** — Australian BNPL provider using Zip's hosted checkout.\n- **[Latitude](latitude-payment-provider)** — interest-free installment plans for larger purchases, online and in store. Specific products or product types can be excluded from Latitude payment.\n\n### International and education\n\n- **[Flywire](flywire-payment-provider)** — international payments for education and healthcare. Field mapping to Salesforce **Contact** fields (for example, a student ID) is configurable. The store currency must match the currency of the configured Flywire recipient.\n- **[TouchNet](touchnet-payment-provider)** — US higher education payment provider using TouchNet's hosted uPay page.\n\n### ACH bank transfer providers\n\nThese providers process US ACH bank transfer payments. Settlement is asynchronous: the payment stays pending until the transfer clears, typically within 1 to 5 business days.\n\n- **[Stripe ACH](stripe-ach-payment-provider)** — US bank transfer via Stripe.\n- **[Adyen ACH](adyen-ach-payment-provider)** — US bank transfer via Adyen.\n- **[Authorize.Net ACH](authorize-net-ach-payment-provider)** — US bank transfer via Authorize.Net.\n- **NMI ACH** — US bank transfer via NMI.\n- **StoreConnect Pay ACH** — US bank transfer via StoreConnect Pay.\n\n### Manual and offline payment methods\n\n- **Pay later** — for offline payment methods such as bank transfer (EFT), BPay, check, and cash on delivery. No transaction is processed at checkout. Configurable payment instructions are shown to the customer, with Liquid template support.\n- **[Pay by account](pay-by-account)** — charge the order to a Salesforce **Account** balance, with credit limits enforced at checkout. See [Contact and account management features](contact-and-account-management-features).\n\n## Payment preauthorization\n\nPayment preauthorization is a two-step process: the customer's card or account is authorized for an amount at checkout, and the charge is captured later, for example at dispatch or on fulfillment confirmation.\n\n- The authorized amount is held against the customer's payment method without being charged\n- Capture can be for the full authorized amount or partial amounts (for installment-based fulfillment)\n- Uncaptured authorizations can be released without charge\n- Payment status moves from `preauthorized` to `success` on full capture, or through `partial_capture` stages if captured in installments\n\nProviders that support preauthorization are marked in the feature matrix above. Preauthorization is turned on per provider with the `use_preauth` configuration option. Latitude can additionally reduce the held amount without releasing it in full.\n\n## Digital wallets\n\nApple Pay and Google Pay are available at the payment step with Stripe, Adyen, Square, Cybersource, Westpac Online Pay, eWAY, and Tyro. Braintree supports Google Pay only.\n\nWallet buttons are turned on per provider with the `show_wallets` configuration option. Provider-specific requirements apply: Apple Pay requires domain verification with Apple, and Google Pay requires a Google merchant ID and name.\n\n## Express checkout\n\nExpress checkout shows Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons on cart and product pages, so customers can pay without entering the full checkout flow. It is available with Stripe, Adyen, Cybersource, and Westpac Online Pay, and is turned on per provider with the `express_checkout_enabled` configuration option.\n\nAfterpay offers its own express checkout from cart and product pages using Afterpay's payment window rather than a digital wallet.\n\n## Recurring billing and saved payment methods\n\nProviders marked as supporting recurring billing in the feature matrix can store a customer's payment details and charge them automatically for subscription renewals. See [Subscription features](subscription-features) for what you can build with this.\n\nCustomers can also save a payment method for later use without making a purchase. This is supported by Stripe, Stripe ACH, and Square.\n\n## Refunds\n\nProviders marked as supporting automated refunds in the feature matrix can process full or partial refunds directly from StoreConnect, without logging in to the provider's own systems. For all other providers, process the refund in the provider's own portal.\n\nPreauthorized payments that have not yet been captured are released rather than refunded.\n\n## 3D Secure\n\nStripe and Adyen apply 3D Secure automatically when the customer's bank requires it. eWAY, Westpac Online Pay, Braintree, and NMI support optional 3D Secure, turned on with the `three_d_secure` configuration option. Providers that use a hosted payment page handle 3D Secure on the provider's own page.\n\n## Multi-currency\n\nEach store operates in a single configured currency, which is applied to every payment at checkout. Your merchant account with the payment provider must support your store's currency. Flywire additionally requires the store currency to match the currency of the configured Flywire recipient.\n\n## Payment surcharges\n\nAny payment provider can have a surcharge product assigned. When a customer selects that payment method at checkout, the surcharge is automatically added to the cart as a line item on the Salesforce **Order**. See [Passing payment surcharges to customers](payment-surcharges).\n\n## Taking payments inside Salesforce\n\nCard payments can be processed directly from a Salesforce **Order** record, for orders received by phone, email, or in person, using any provider marked as supporting Salesforce Payments in the feature matrix. No separate payment terminal or external tool is required. See [Taking order payments from Salesforce](salesforce-payments).\n\n## Point of sale\n\nSquare (with Square Terminal), Tyro, and Latitude can take in-store payments through StoreConnect POS. [Linkly](linkly-payment-provider) cloud EFTPOS, [Quest Airpay TAP](quest-airpay-tap-payment-provider) tap to pay, and Vii gift cards are in-store only integrations. See [POS-ready payment providers](pos-payment-providers).\n\n## Set this up\n\n- [Configure payment providers](payment-providers)\n- [Set up pay on account](pay-by-account)\n- [Take order payments from Salesforce](salesforce-payments)\n- [Pass payment surcharges to customers](payment-surcharges)\n- [Set up POS payment providers](pos-payment-providers)"}
