The bundle opens in its own screen where you pick the components, and it lands in the cart as one grouped line that is priced, fulfilled, and printed as a unit.\n\nWhich items are included, which are optional, how many of each, and whether the bundle has one flat price or adds up its parts are all set in Salesforce, not at the register. If a bundle tile is grayed out, or a bundle opens without one of its groups, ask your administrator to check the [bundle setup for POS](set-up-bundles-for-pos).\n\n## Add a bundle to the cart\n\n1.  At the register, select the bundle from the product grid, search, or a barcode scan, as you would any product. The bundle screen opens, headed by the bundle's images and name.\n\n    If the bundle leaves you nothing to choose, because every component is fixed at one product and one quantity, the register skips the screen and adds the bundle straight to the cart.\n\n2.  Work down the component groups. Each group has the heading set in Salesforce, such as **Choose two reds**, a hint such as `Select 2` for how many to pick, and its components as cards. A component the bundle always includes is listed under **Included** and cannot be changed.\n3.  Select the components the customer wants. How a card behaves depends on how the group was set up:\n    - Tap to select or deselect a component in a group that takes one of each.\n    - Use the stepper on a card to set a quantity where the bundle allows more than one. A card reads **At max** when it has reached its limit, and the whole group locks once the group's limit is reached.\n    - Pick one card in a group that allows a single choice. Selecting another card replaces the first.\n    - Choose a variant on a card that has sizes or colors. The options open on the card itself, and the component counts as selected only once every option is chosen.\n    - Set a price on a component that has variable pricing. The card lists the preset prices and a **Custom** option, and the amount you choose becomes that line's price. A component that is included at no charge shows no price step.\n    - Configure a nested bundle by tapping its card. Its own groups open in a panel; select **Confirm** with the running total to add that build, and tap the card again to add another build with different choices.\n    - Book a rental by tapping a rental component, which reads **Choose booking date** until it is booked. Set the start date, duration, and asset in the panel, then select **Confirm booking**. The card then shows the booking, such as `From 2026-07-01 · 3 days`. See [process rental products at POS](manage-rental-transactions-at-pos).\n4.  Select **Add to cart**. The button stays disabled until every group meets its minimum and every selected rental has a booking, and the bundle price at the top of the screen updates as you choose.\n\n    ![The bundle screen for the Cellar Door Tasting Trio at $380, with two reds selected in the Choose two reds group, the sparkling wine under Included, and the Add to cart button](https://res.cloudinary.com/hzkr6fi81/image/upload/v1792989648/media/pos-bundle-modal-configured.png)\n\nThe bundle is added to the cart, and a message confirms it with the components' thumbnails and a **View cart** shortcut. To leave without adding anything, select **Back**.\n\nSome products are sold only inside a bundle. You can find them in search, the product grid, and scan results, but they cannot be added to the cart on their own. Add the bundle that contains them instead.\n\n## The bundle in the cart\n\nThe bundle appears as one row: a stack of thumbnails with the anchor product on top, a count of the products in the bundle (the anchor counts unless it is only a wrapper for the bundle), and the bundle's name followed by its members, such as `Cellar Door Tasting Trio: PAPER KITE Cabernet Sauvignon, HOLLOW OAK Cabernet Blend`. Its price is the **Bundle total**.\n\nTap the row, or select **Edit bundle**, to open the bundle's detail screen.\n\n| On the detail screen | What it does |\n|---|---|\n| **Bundled items** | Each item as its own line. Tap a line to adjust the price or the **Pay now** option. In a flat-price bundle only the anchor line carries a price, so adjust the anchor; the components are included at no charge. See [discounts and price overrides](discounts-and-price-overrides). |\n| **Base price** | The anchor's own price, shown only on a bundle that adds up its component prices |\n| **Bundle total** | The price of the whole bundle, with any saving |\n| **Note** | A note for the whole bundle, shown when your store has turned on item notes. Each component's own line can carry a note too. |\n| **Remove** | Removes the bundle and every component together |\n\nA bundle is always added with a quantity of one. To sell two of the same bundle, add it twice; each is a separate row. Component quantities are set in the bundle screen and cannot be changed in the cart. You cannot remove a single component from the cart, and you cannot reopen the bundle screen for a bundle that is already in the cart. To change what is in the bundle, remove it and add it again with the new choices.\n\n![The bundle detail screen in the cart for the Cellar Door Tasting Trio, showing the Remove button, a Bundle total of $380.00, and the Bundled items list with the trio at $380 and three bottles marked Included](https://res.cloudinary.com/hzkr6fi81/image/upload/v1792989704/media/pos-cart-bundle-details.png)\n\n## How a bundle is priced\n\n| Pricing strategy | What the cart shows |\n|---|---|\n| Flat price | The anchor carries the whole price. Each component line reads **Included** rather than a price, and a component's own price is never charged, even if it has variable pricing. |\n| Component prices | Each component carries its own price, and the bundle total is their sum plus any **Base price** on the anchor. |\n\nA component with a free quantity is charged only for the units above it. Three units with one free are charged as two, and the allowance repeats for every bundle added. There is no separate discount for the bundle as a whole. To discount a flat-price bundle, adjust the price of the anchor line, which carries the whole bundle price. To discount a bundle that adds up the component prices, adjust the component lines.\n\n## Open orders, stations, and parking\n\n- If your store routes items to fulfillment stations, each component goes to the station that prepares it. A bundle that is only a wrapper, such as a set menu, sends nothing to a station for the bundle itself.\n- On an open order, submitting sends the whole bundle. Once submitted, the bundle's action reads **Cancel** instead of **Remove**, and the bundle moves under **Previously submitted**. The bundle header shows the components' preparation status as they progress.\n- Parking keeps the bundle intact. A resumed cart is sold at the prices it was saved with, including the bundle, until you change the customer.\n\n## The bundle on the receipt\n\nOn the **Order placed** screen and the order's detail screen, the bundle is one collapsible group headed by the anchor, with the components beneath it, a bundle total, and any saving. In a flat-price bundle each component line reads **Included**. Returns and cancelled lines are listed flat, outside the group.\n\n## Example\n\nA cellar door sells a `Cellar Door Tasting Trio` at a flat `$380`: a bottle of VELVET HERON Grande Cuvee that is always included, and two reds the customer picks from four. The operator taps the trio on the **Red Wine** grid, sees the sparkling wine marked **Included**, taps PAPER KITE and HOLLOW OAK under **Choose two reds**, and selects **Add to cart**. The cart shows one row for the trio at `$380`, and on the detail screen the three bottles each read **Included**."}
