You can toggle these on or off.\n\n-   **Active** — the person can sign in. Clearing this signs them out immediately.\n-   **Admin** — the person can invite teammates and edit their permissions, and receives admin alerts.\n-   **Billing** — the person can view invoices and update payment details, and receives billing notifications.\n\n**Admin** and **Billing** are also what generate the **Admin alerts** and **Billing recipients** lists on [Company details](support-portal-company-details).\n\n## Invite a colleague\n\n1.  Go to **Manage users**.\n2.  Select **Invite user**.\n3.  Complete **Invite a teammate**:\n\n    -   **First name**\n    -   **Last name** — required.\n    -   **Email** — required. The portal matches an existing teammate on this address, or creates a new portal user.\n    -   **Title**\n\n4.  Under **Permissions**, select **Admin**, **Billing**, both, or neither.\n5.  Select **Send invitation**.\n\nThe person appears in the user list with a status of **Pending invite** and the date you invited them. Once they sign in for the first time, the status changes to **Active** with a last login date.\n\n## Change someone's permissions\n\n1.  Go to **Manage users**.\n2.  Find the person, using **Search users by name or email** if the list is long.\n3.  Select or clear **Active**, **Admin**, or **Billing** on their row.\n\nChanges save as you make them. There is no save button on this page.\n\n## Remove someone's access\n\n:::warning\nClearing **Active** signs the person out immediately. They cannot sign in again until an admin reactivates them, so do this only when you intend to end their access.\n:::\n\n1.  Go to **Manage users**.\n2.  Find the person and clear **Active** on their row.\n3.  Respond to the confirmation message.\n\nWhen a user's status changes to inactive, they lose access straight away. Their record and case history stay in place, so you can restore access later by selecting **Active** again.\n\n:::note\nDeactivating someone in the support portal does not touch their Salesforce user. Removing their Salesforce access is a separate task in your own org.\n:::"}
