Google Merchant Feed has been significantly enhanced with support for multiple product images, better brand data, and improved handling of invalid product data to prevent feed generation from failing. Rich product data (JSON-LD structured data) for SEO and Google Search has also been overhauled. Additionally, discontinued products no longer have a hard-coded \"(Discontinued)\" prefix added to their name in feeds and templates, and inactive product-category associations are now correctly excluded from category pages.\n\n## Enhancements\n\n**Google Merchant Feed: Multiple Images and Improved Data Quality**\nThe Google Merchant Feed has been updated to support up to 10 product images per item, in line with Google's specification. Images are now exported at original quality instead of scaled-down medium versions, improving how products appear in Google Shopping. Brand output has been corrected to use the display name rather than the internal name. Performance of feed generation has also been improved.\n\n**Google Merchant Feed: Resilient Against Invalid Product Data**\nPreviously, if any product had incomplete or invalid data (such as missing shipping dimensions), the entire merchant feed would fail to generate — leaving the feed empty. The feed generator now skips individual problematic products and continues generating the rest of the feed, ensuring that a single invalid product does not block all other products from being exported.\n\n**Rich Product Data (JSON-LD) Improvements**\nThe structured data (JSON-LD) output for product pages has been significantly improved. Previously, it was showing placeholder text instead of actual prices, omitting images, and not populating variant details or pricing ranges correctly. The updated implementation:\n\n-   Shows accurate prices including variant price ranges\n-   Includes product images\n-   Populates variant-level data including `hasVariants`, `isVariantOf`, and `variesBy` fields\n-   Uses the Salesforce product ID as the stable `productGroupID` for variant groups, fixing Google Search Console errors where this value was previously null\n\n**Discontinued Products: Prefix No Longer Hard-Coded**\nProduct names for discontinued items no longer have \"(Discontinued)\" automatically prepended. This prefix was appearing in merchant feeds (Google Shopping, Facebook) and could not be removed by merchants, making it harder to sell remaining stock. Product display names now reflect only what has been configured, without system-added prefixes.\n\n## Deprecated Fields\n\nNo deprecated fields in this release.\n\n## Fixed Bugs\n\n**Category Pages Showing Products with Inactive Category Associations**\nProducts were continuing to appear on a category page even after their association to that category had been set to inactive. The category page query now filters to only include products with active product-category associations."}
