Change page layouts for Salesforce objects

When you first install StoreConnect, you can switch to our page layouts for some standard Salesforce objects. This gives you access to the fields and related lists you need to use StoreConnect.

Page layouts control:

  • What fields and components are visible on a record page

  • Where and how fields are arranged on the screen

  • The sections, buttons, and related lists that are available

Alternatively, you can add and edit page layout fields using the add fields to page layouts process with Lightning.

StoreConnect provides page layouts for these standard objects

Apply a page layout

  1. Select the Cog icon in the top-right corner of Salesforce, and select Setup.
  2. Open the Object Manager.
  3. Search for and select the Object you want to configure (e.g., Product).
  4. Inside the object record (e.g. Product), click Page Layouts in the left sidebar.
  5. Click Page Layout Assignment (top-right of the layout list). This screen shows all user profiles (rows) and page layouts (columns) currently assigned.
  6. Click Edit Assignment.
  7. Select the profiles you want to update. Click the top box to select all profiles or Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) as you click to select/deselect profiles.
  8. Choose a layout from the Page Layout to Use dropdown (e.g. StoreConnect Product Layout).
  9. Click Save above the list.
  10. Your selected page layout is now assigned to the chosen profiles and will control how users see records of that object.
