Shipping and fulfillment

On this page

StoreConnect manages shipping rates, inventory levels, and fulfillment workflows within Salesforce. Stock quantities, warehouse locations, and shipping rules are all maintained as Salesforce records — connected to your orders, products, and customer data without a separate inventory system.

Shipping

  • Tiered shipping zones — define shipping rates by zone, weight, order value, or product type; zones can be global, regional, or per-store
  • Multiple shipping methods — offer customers a choice of shipping options at checkout (standard, express, overnight) with individual rate calculations
  • Flat rate and calculated rates — configure flat shipping fees or integrate with carrier APIs for real-time calculated rates
  • Free shipping rules — set order value thresholds or product-level conditions that trigger free shipping
  • Per-store shipping configuration — different stores can have different shipping zones, methods, and rates

Carrier integrations

StoreConnect integrates with major shipping carriers and fulfillment platforms, enabling label generation and tracking within your workflow.

  • Real-time rate calculation from integrated carriers
  • Shipping label generation from the order management interface
  • Shipment tracking updates surfaced to customers via their account dashboard and transactional email

Inventory

  • Multiple stock locations — manage inventory across multiple warehouses, retail locations, or fulfillment centres; each location has its own stock level per product variant
  • Real-time stock updates — stock levels decrease immediately when an order is placed, whether online or via POS
  • Backorders — allow customers to order products that are out of stock, with configurable availability messaging
  • Stock reservations — hold stock against an order during checkout to prevent overselling
  • Low stock notifications — trigger Salesforce alerts or flows when stock falls below a defined threshold

Click-and-collect

Customers can select click-and-collect at checkout and choose a pickup location. The order is held for pickup and the customer is notified when it is ready. Pickup locations are configured as separate stock locations in Salesforce.
