This release ships new Liquid encryption filters, major Site Builder workflow improvements, and stability updates across payments, checkout, and platform runtime. Updates include Square SDK modernisation, and campaign syncing refinements.

Enhancements

  • Liquid Encryption Filters Introduced encrypt and decrypt Liquid filters so theme developers can safely handle sensitive payloads without leaving template code.

  • Site Builder Workflow Improvements Added preview mode, ensured empty content blocks remain editable, and improved theme modal rendering for safer and more predictable content updates.

  • Automated Cart Campaign Syncing Cart-level campaigns now sync automatically, keeping promotions aligned between the storefront and automation rules.

  • Checkout & Payment Modernisation Enabled express checkout for all-virtual carts, upgraded to the Square v44 legacy SDK, and bundled the openssl gem explicitly to avoid environment variability.

Fixed Bugs

  • Reduced Payment Validation Noise Suppressed unnecessary validation errors for PayLater/PayByAccount and ensured subscription-related payment providers are verified before use.

  • Accurate Subscription Payables Corrected payable calculations for fixed-term subscriptions, preventing over- or under-charging.

  • More Reliable Migrations & Subscription Handling Fixed rollback failures and hardened subscription order processing to improve resilience for long-running batch operations.
