Marketing and growth
On this page
StoreConnect connects your store to the marketing and analytics tools your team already uses, and gives you native attribution data inside Salesforce. Every order captures the campaign, channel, and source that drove it — so your marketing reports are built on the same data as your CRM.
Marketing integrations
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud — sync customer data, trigger journey emails from store events (purchase, abandon, subscription renewal), and use Marketing Cloud for segmentation and campaign management
- Account Engagement (Pardot) — connect store activity to your B2B marketing automation workflows
- Third-party analytics — add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any tag manager script to your storefront via the analytics script configuration; scripts can be scoped per store. See Integrate Google Analytics in your store.
- Chat and AI agents — run an Agentforce agent on your storefront, and configure pre-chat fields to identify a signed-in customer to the agent, or embed a third-party chat widget such as Intercom or Zendesk. See Configure your store for the AI agent and Add a live chat service to your site.
- UTM code capture — UTM parameters from inbound links are captured against every order, giving you full campaign attribution in Salesforce reports. See UTM tracking codes.
- Mailing lists — collect campaign members from the storefront and manage them in Salesforce. See Campaign members and mailing lists.
- Transactional email — order confirmations, shipping notifications, and other automated messages are sent from templates you control. See Transactional emails.
See Store marketing and analytics.
Search engine optimization
StoreConnect provides full control over the SEO metadata for every page on your storefront.
- Page-level metadata — configure title tags, meta descriptions, and Open Graph data per product, category, and content page. See SEO and site data.
- Canonical URLs — automatically generated to prevent duplicate content across multi-store configurations. For filtered and faceted pages, see maintaining SEO for filterable store pages.
- XML sitemap — auto-generated and kept current as products and pages are added or removed. See Manage the sitemap for your store.
- Structured data (JSON-LD) — product structured data is output automatically, supporting rich results in Google Search. See Structured data for product SEO.
- Robots.txt control — configure indexing rules per store. See Edit robots.txt to prevent search engine indexing. To exclude individual pages instead, see how to implement noindex tags using Liquid.
- Search performance measurement — verify your store with Google Search Console, submit your sitemap, and see which queries bring shoppers in. See Analyze search performance.
- On-site search tuning — add alternate names, abbreviations, and common misspellings so customers still find the right product. See search keywords.
See Search engine optimization.
Preserving existing inbound links
Marketing links, backlinks, and indexed search results keep pointing at old URLs long after your site changes. Route mapping controls what a visitor gets when they land on one of those URLs, so campaign traffic and accumulated SEO value are not lost.
- Automatic 301 redirects — StoreConnect creates a 301 route mapping whenever a slug or path changes on a product, product category, page, article, or article category, so existing links keep working without any action from you
- Manual route mappings — create your own 301 permanent redirects, 302 temporary redirects, or rewrites, and bulk load them with a tool like Data Loader
- Site migration — map every old URL to its new equivalent when you move an existing site onto StoreConnect. See Redirect to StoreConnect from existing web pages.
- Cross-domain routing — route a second domain to your live store, optionally appending a UTM code so orders from that domain are attributed to it
See Route mapping for the three redirect types and setup steps.
Google Merchant Feed
StoreConnect generates a Google Merchant Center XML feed from your product catalog, updated automatically every six hours. The feed includes standard product attributes, shipping data, loyalty points, installment pricing, and bundle information where configured.
See View the Google Merchant feed for full field mapping and setup details.
Meta/Facebook product feed
StoreConnect generates a product catalog feed compatible with Meta’s Commerce Manager, enabling your products to appear in Facebook and Instagram shopping surfaces. The feed is generated from your Salesforce product catalog and updates automatically with your product data.
See Sync products to facebook data feed for setup steps.
AI and LLM discovery
AI-powered search and chat tools answer shopping questions directly, often citing a store without the customer visiting it. See answer engine and generative engine optimization for how those tools find your store and which capabilities support them.
You can serve an llms.txt file from your storefront: a plain-text index of your site’s key content, structured to help AI assistants and large language models discover and accurately represent your products and store information. Unlike your sitemap or robots.txt, StoreConnect does not generate this file automatically; you create and maintain it yourself as a content page. This supports AI-powered shopping tools, voice assistants, and other LLM-based surfaces that use llms.txt as a discovery standard. See Generate an llms.txt file for your site.
The same content-page mechanism serves any other feed an AI tool expects. For custom, Liquid-generated feeds, see Build structured data feeds for AI answer engines.
Promotions and campaign attribution
Promotions, vouchers, and loyalty points are the levers you pull to drive a campaign, and each one reports back into Salesforce alongside the UTM data captured on the order.
- Choose the right offer type — discounts, promo codes, and how they combine
- About Promotions v2 — conditional and multi-step promotion rules
- Vouchers — gift vouchers sold, issued, and redeemed across the storefront and POS
- Loyalty points — let customers earn and spend points on purchases
Product reviews
Reviews are not a StoreConnect feature. You embed a review tool’s widget through the CMS instead, the same way as any other third-party widget.
See Product reviews and other embeddable widgets for example tools, and for the other widget categories StoreConnect does not cover natively.
API extensibility to other platforms
StoreConnect exposes its data through the Salesforce API, enabling integration with any platform that supports REST or SOAP API access. This allows you to distribute your product catalog, sync order data, and trigger store events from external marketing, analytics, and commerce platforms.
- Connect to affiliate networks, price comparison engines, or custom channel partners via the Salesforce API
- Use Salesforce flows and platform events to push store activity to external systems in real time
- Build custom integrations without modifying the StoreConnect application layer
