Product reviews and other embeddable widgets

On this page

Product reviews are not a StoreConnect feature. Stores that want reviews embed a third-party review tool through the CMS instead, which lets each store keep the tool it already uses.

The same applies to the categories below. Where a market has many good tools and no obvious default, StoreConnect gives you somewhere to put whichever one you choose.

Categories StoreConnect does not cover

These categories have no dedicated StoreConnect feature, and a third-party widget fills the gap. The tools named supply an embeddable widget for each. They are examples of what is available, not endorsements, and StoreConnect does not support or maintain them. Evaluate any tool against your own requirements before committing to it.

Category What the widget adds Example tools
Product reviews and ratings Star ratings, written reviews, photo and video content from customers, verified-purchase badges, and a moderation queue Yotpo, Judge.me, Loox, Trustpilot
Exit-intent offers A timed offer shown as a visitor moves to leave the page OptinMonster, Privy, Justuno
Social proof notifications Live “recently purchased” and low-stock nudges Fomo, Nudgify
Multivariate and A/B testing Serving page variants and picking a winner. The tool runs the test; Salesforce reporting measures the result VWO, Optimizely, AB Tasty
Session recording and heatmaps Recordings and click maps showing where visitors hesitate Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity
Size and fit guides A size chart or fit recommendation on the product page Kiwi Sizing, Fit Analytics

Check for a StoreConnect feature before reaching for a widget in a category not listed here. Cross-sell has Related products, chat has Agentforce agents, lead capture has Web-to-Lead, and discounts have Promotions & marketing.

Add a widget to your store

Paste the tool’s embed code into a Content Block and place that block on the page or article where the widget belongs. See Adding third party widgets and code blocks.

Where the widget has to load on every page, or its script sets cookies, put the script in a Script Block and attach it to a Cookie in a Compliance Group so visitors can decline it. See Cookie management and privacy compliance.

Notes on product reviews

Your widget now renders on the storefront, and any script that sets cookies appears in the store’s privacy banner for visitors to accept or decline.
