About the StoreConnect console
On this page
The StoreConnect Console is a centralized workspace for managing your commerce operations. It’s organized into three main areas:
- Store for core operations such as orders, inventory, customers, bookings, and offers
- Web for storefront content, themes, and privacy settings
- Point of Sale for outlet and register configuration.
Users only see the channels and features relevant to their role, while administrators have full access across all three channels, along with system tools such as sync monitoring, setup guides, and configuration for payments, tax, and shipping.
For general StoreConnect navigation tips, see the StoreConnect navigation topic.
Accessing the console
Users with one of these permission sets can access the console:
- StoreConnect Administrator — Full access to all channels and settings
- StoreConnect Content Manager — Manage web content, including articles, pages, and menus
- StoreConnect Order Manager — Manage orders, payments, and fulfillment
- StoreConnect Theme Manager — Manage storefront themes and appearance
- StoreConnect Content Change Approver — Review and approve staged content changes. See Review and approve content changes.
Each role only sees the navigation sections relevant to their permissions. Only administrators have access to the Point of Sale channel, setup guide, and system configuration (including payment, shipping, and tax settings).
Until the console setup is complete, only one kind of user can open the console: a user with the standard System Administrator profile and the StoreConnect Administrator permission set. Everyone else sees a permission error, including administrators on a custom or cloned profile. After setup is complete, the profile no longer affects access.
:::note Assign these permission sets rather than the underlying custom permissions on their own. Each one grants the SC_Console custom permission, which unlocks the console, together with the object and field access the console needs to work. Assigning the bare custom permission may let a user past the access check but leave them unable to read or edit records. The StoreConnect Administrator permission set also grants the SC_Administrator custom permission, which the header Setup and License menus require. :::
To open the console:
- Log in to Salesforce.
- In the App Launcher (grid icon), search for StoreConnect Console.
-
Click StoreConnect Console.

The console opens. If setup is not yet complete, it opens on the setup guide.
Permission error when opening the console
The console shows Looks like you don’t have permission to access this feature in two cases:
- Setup is not complete, and you are not on the System Administrator profile. The setup guide opens only for a user with the standard System Administrator profile and the StoreConnect Administrator permission set. A custom profile is not enough, even if it grants the same permissions. Have a user with the System Administrator profile complete the setup, or switch your user to that profile until setup is complete.
- You do not have the SC_Console custom permission. Assign one of the permission sets listed above. The StoreConnect Audit Viewer and StoreConnect Sync User Permission permission sets do not grant console access. Check that no muting permission set in a permission set group removes SC_Console.
Key features of the console
The left navigation gives you access to:
Home: Store health and subscription metrics at a glance. Orders: Review, fulfill, and process customer orders and payments. Inventory: Add, edit, or deactivate products, stock, and pricing. Customers: View and maintain accounts, contacts, and memberships. Design: Manage storefront content and themes. Settings: Configure payment, taxes, and shipping.
Setup guide
When you set up a new store, the console displays a step-by-step setup guide. Each step guides you through a specific setup task. Some steps open a dialog, while others take you to the relevant settings screen or your storefront.
Until setup is complete, only a user with the standard System Administrator profile and the StoreConnect Administrator permission set can open the setup guide.
:::tip You can skip any step (except creating your first store) and return to it later. The setup guide remains accessible from the console navigation, even after you have completed every step. :::

The console header includes an actions bar on the right side with quick access to support, documentation, and administrative tools. The Setup and License tools are available only to administrators (the StoreConnect Administrator permission set). Support and Docs are available to all console users.
