StoreConnect identifies itself in an HTTP response header on every page your store serves. There is nothing to configure; this article explains what the header is and why it is there.
The X-Powered-By header is a standard HTTP response header that identifies the technology behind an application. Server responses from a StoreConnect store include the header X-Powered-By: StoreConnect, which identifies StoreConnect to developers, tools, and platforms that analyze HTTP headers.
Where the header shows up
- Analytics tools — tools that inspect HTTP headers to identify trends in server technologies report the site as running on StoreConnect.
- API integrations — third-party developers working with your site see StoreConnect named as the underlying platform.
Key considerations
- The X-Powered-By header is a branding feature. It has no functional effect on your store.
- The header cannot be edited or removed.
