Articles and article categories
On this page
Articles are pages that live within a category: blog posts, press releases, news, and similar site collateral. An Article Category groups them, by year, month, or subject, and an article can belong to more than one category.
Article categories support parent and child categories, so you can build a hierarchy. Link to the full archive with the /articles path, or link to a single category by its own path.

Add content to your articles
Articles are often just text and a hero image. To add other media, or to pull in an existing content block, use Liquid in any field that accepts Markdown or HTML.
Publish an article
- Open the Article record.
- Check Published.
- Set Published On Date. A date in the past publishes the article immediately; a date in the future holds it until then.
- Select Save.
The article appears at /articles/<path> on your storefront, and in the archive at /articles.
Add articles to article categories
- Open the Article record and go to its Related tab.
- In the Article Categories related list, select New.
- Search for and select the article category.
- Select Save.
The article is now reachable at /articles/<category-path>/<article-path> as well as at its own path.
Show featured articles on a page
Add a content block with Content Template set to Featured Articles, then choose the articles to show. See content block templates for the fields that template uses.
