Add your Facebook Pixel code

The Facebook Pixel, also called the Meta Pixel, is a snippet of tracking code that measures your advertising, builds audiences, and reports conversions. Facebook’s own guidance is to place the base code in the page head. In StoreConnect that means adding it to the content block your store uses for head content.

Before you begin

• Create a Facebook Ad Manager account.
• Create your Facebook Pixel and copy its base code.
• Find out which Content Block your store uses for head content. See Add custom JavaScript, CSS and head content.

Install the pixel code

1. In Salesforce, open the Content Block set as your store’s HTML head content block. If your store does not have one yet, select New Content Block and create it, following Add custom JavaScript, CSS and head content.
2. Paste the pixel base code into the content block body.
3. Select Save.

Keep every tracking code in this one content block. If you also run Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, their snippets belong here alongside the pixel.

To confirm the install, open your storefront and check that the pixel reports activity in Facebook Events Manager.
