Delivery windows

On this page

Delivery windows give customers a choice of scheduled delivery date or time range at checkout. For businesses where delivery timing is part of the product experience — grocery, meal kits, beverage subscriptions, trade supply — delivery windows let you offer a structured fulfillment schedule without custom development.

How delivery windows work

Delivery windows are configured per store as a set of available delivery slots. At checkout, customers see the available windows and select their preferred delivery date or time range. The selected window is recorded against the order in Salesforce and is available to your fulfillment workflow.

  • Date-based windows — customers select a delivery date from a calendar of available options
  • Time-range windows — customers select a date and time range (morning, afternoon, or a specific time slot)
  • Capacity per window — each window can have a maximum order capacity; windows with no remaining capacity are not shown to customers
  • Cutoff times — configure a cutoff time for each window to stop accepting new orders after a point that ensures fulfillment is achievable
  • Per-store configuration — different stores can have different window schedules; a trade store and a consumer store can offer different delivery cadences

Delivery windows and subscriptions

Delivery windows can be applied to subscription products to give customers a recurring scheduled delivery. The selected window repeats on each subscription cycle, or customers can update their preferred window from their account dashboard.

Delivery window data in Salesforce

The selected delivery window is stored against the Salesforce Order record. This data is available to: - Fulfillment and warehouse workflows (via Salesforce flows or connected ERP) - Reporting (filter and group orders by delivery date or window) - Customer communications (include the delivery window in transactional email templates)
