Point of sale (POS) operations

There are a number of store-side tasks that may need to be completed at a point of sale in a day. Depending on the team member, some staff may have additional tasks, such as managers. Here’s some typical daily tasks.

Manager:

• Open register and enter float
• End a shift
• Authorize account credit payments

Employees:

• Sign in to a register
• Make sales
• Manage special orders
