Theme importer

Use the theme importer to install a pre-built theme from a .zip file, whether it came from the downloadable theme library or was built independently. Once imported, a theme can be previewed and tested before you set your store to use it.

Before you start

The importer reports its status by email, so Salesforce Deliverability must be set to All Email. With any lower setting you will not receive the import result.

Have the theme .zip ready. If it contains a templates/, assets/, or translations/ folder, each of those folders must hold at least one file. The folders are not required, but an empty one is flagged and can cause a partial or failed import.

Import a theme

1. Go to the Theme Importer.

2. Select the .zip file for the theme you want to import.

3. Wait for the importer to validate the contents of the file.

4. Enter a name for the theme, so it is easy to identify later.

5. Complete the wizard to run the import.

Successfully imported components are marked green, and any errors or missing components are flagged in the result. Use Theme Preview to test the theme before you set your store to use it.
