Minimum requirements for product visibility

For products to be visible in your online store, they must be set up a certain way in StoreConnect. For full details on setting up products, see how to add products in StoreConnect.

Minimum product requirements checklist

Follow this checklist to ensure product purchasability and troubleshoot product issues.

For a product to show on the site

• Must be active
• Must belong to a product category inside the taxonomy your store uses
• Available date must be in the past

If your store has more than one taxonomy, only the one with the lowest Position counts. See setting a taxonomy position.

For a product to be searchable

• Must be a master product or variant of a master
• Must have an active price book entry
• Match the store’s currency

For a product to be purchased

• Inventory control options must be set
• At least one payment provider must be configured

Visibility of discontinued products

When the Discontinue On date of a product is in the past, the product is still visible in the store but it cannot be purchased.

To fully remove a discontinued product from the store, clear Active on the product. This will remove it from the site.
