Add a product serial number at POS

It’s not required, but it’s a good idea to collect serial numbers on products where traceability could be helpful. This does not have to apply to all products at checkout, only those for which you have set the requirement in the StoreConnect product.

Record a product serial number at checkout

  1. Add the product to the cart. The system will flag that a serial number is required.
  2. Select Add customer and enter the customer details. This is helpful for future traceability if they need to bring the item back or claim warranty coverage.
  3. Back in the cart, click on the product you need to add a serial number for.
  4. Select + in the Serial number field. Serial number field at POS
  5. Select Back to cart and complete the transaction.
